Christmas with the Grandkids

Christmas 2010 010

I traveled to Redding on the 27th to share Christmas with Kristi and her family.  Those four little ones are so precious!!  We laughed and played and then headed to the movies to see “Yogi Bear” and hey, hey,  BooBoo.

The boys got new bowling balls and can’t wait to get the holes drilled for the fingers so they can begin the games.

Abby has a new ride on toy that will make her more mobile.  Just what Kristi needs.

Of course Emily is the pretty, pretty princess with a box of new “dress up clothes”.

What a blessing it is to be a Grandma!!

Christmas 2010

We gathered on Christmas Eve for the traditional Danish “Christmas Tree “ celebration.  A prime rib dinner and exchange of gifts and family time.  I so appreciate my children and spending time with them.

Wow, Kevin gave me this beautiful fruit bouquet.  It looks great and tastes even better.  Shawn and Tesha gave me three wonderful new sweaters and I love them all.

I love my home all dressed up for Christmas.  The Santa collection each has a special meaning and the nativity is one I made in a Relief Society project in 1975.  It goes up every year as a reminder of our Savior’s birth.

Thanksgiving weekend

Kristi and family arrived on Friday and we spent three great days together. Lots of food and fun. Monopoly and checkers are the family favorites and now the grandchildren are winning. Saturday was rainy so we went to the movies, had pizza and played video games and laughed.

Sunday was a nice day at Church and unfortunately the weekend was way too short. I decorated for Christmas before their arrival so the kids could enjoy the “season” at Grandma's house.

Hence, it looks like Christmas but it really is Thanksgiving.

Apple Hill 2010

Kevin, Shawn, Tesha and I took a day trip to Apple Hill.  We arrived in time to have apple donuts for breakfast.  We had a picnic and then caramel apples for dessert.  The scenery was beautiful and we had such a fun time looking at all of the crafts and overloading on APPLES!!November 2010 002
